Someone bought an abandoned mining town in british columbia for $5.7 million. The town has over 300 acres, 7 apartment buildings, 92 single family homes, additional mobile home hook ups, a marina, a hospital - enough for 1,200 people to live very well. The guy who bought it has all sorts of plans for it: movie set, vacation package, conference center. Currently it is occupied by a caretaker and his wife: two people. I thought this was a goofy story, but then I started thinking: $5.7 million is a steal!
